NAVIGATION EXAMPLE

Customizing Course Navigation

This course provides an example of an edited Canvas course navigation. It has been updated to include only what students will need to access the course content and has been arranged in a way that makes sense for the student.

Every course will differ, but for most, the default Canvas setting for course navigation provides a cluttered and unorganized work space for students.  Please see the differences in the examples below.

Please Note: Not all of these will appear on the student's screen. Some of them need content in the associated tool to be visible to the student. Other items will appear whether you are using them or not (including Home, Discussions, Grades, People, Syllabus, Conferences, and Collaborations).
