Course Sync Request (between One and Canvas)

WHEN TO USE:

Missing Courses: When instructors are not added to their courses (they see them in One but not in the Canvas All Courses list)
-or-
Missing Students: When instructors are missing students in Canvas that are on the ONE roster – provide the CRN for this request option.

Steps to Request a Sync:

Go to: OU IT Canvas Support
Click the Blue Request Service button, you will be asked to login if you haven’t logged into an OU service yet.
From the Canvas Issue dropdown select: Course Sync
Provide the following information:
- Student and/or Instructor name
- Course Name
- Semester
- In the “Provide specific details” box include the CRN of the course as this will help to get your issue resolved more quickly. The CRN can be located on ClassNav (make sure to unselect “Seats Still Available” from the filter menu on the left).

WHEN TO USE:

Extra Course: When instructors are added to a Canvas course they are NOT teaching (the course also does not show in ONE)
-or-
Remove a Student: When instructors need to remove a student that has dropped and is no longer on the ONE roster.
-or-
Students Drop: Students may also use this option to remove courses they have dropped but that are still appearing in Canvas.

Steps to Request a Sync:

Click the Blue Request Service button, you will be asked to login if you haven’t logged into an OU service yet.
From the Canvas Issue dropdown select: Add/Modify/Remove User(s)
Provide the following information:
- Course Name
- Instructor Name
- Semester
Select Add or Remove
In the “Provide specific details” box include <ul">
- The student(s) name (if this involves a student)
- The CRN of the course as this will help to get your issue resolved more quickly. The CRN can be located on ClassNav(make sure to unselect “Seats Still Available” from the filter menu on the left)
