HOMEWORK: Week 5

A few floating LNG vessels have been built by different companies.  f you think about using modules for a shore-based plant, a floating LNG vessel is one big module for the entire plant. If you were in charge of building the second vessel and putting the entire project together, would you look for a resource that an exact duplicate would work on, or would you pick the best project and adjust the design? Explain your answer. You can make your own guess as to the savings for vessel 2 if needed, I would guess a 30% savings for a different design and a 50% savings for the same design.
