Instructions
You have 120 minutes to complete the exam. You may use your NDS, NDS Supplement, ASD/LRFD Manual for Engineered Wood Construction, Special Design Provisions for Wind and Seismic, and any notes that you have written in the codes. You may also have four sides of 8.5 x 11 in. paper with your hand-written or typed notes. No other references are allowed unless provided by the instructor. You may print out the exam file, write on your own paper, or use an electronic program (e.g. tablet) to write out your answers. You do not need to follow the homework format. You may also use a calculator, pencil/pen, and drawing tools.
The exam is the same as what would have been administered in class, but the additional time allowed for this exam is for potential interruptions and to make sure you have time to scan and upload your answers. Please also scan your note sheets and upload those. If you do not have a good scanner, a number of good apps for scanning are available for both iOS and Android. CamScanner is a good app that is available on both systems. If you have trouble scanning and do not get your files uploaded in time, please send me an email so that I know what happened.
