WELCOME!

Welcome to the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences Online Student Orientation. The purpose of this short course is to help ensure students are well prepared both technically and practically to take online courses.

IT'S SHORT!
The content in this orientation is all stuff you need to know, which means we have KEPT IT AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE.

HOW TO GET STARTED...
Below is a quick review of the main topics in this orientation. Once you have looked these over, click Step 1 to take you to the first topic. Proceed through all the steps and then take the quiz at the end. Note: You can also access the topics from the course navigation.

STEP 1 - REVIEW YOUR COURSE

  • Check your browser, internet, and equipment 
  • Use Chrome or Firefox when possible
  • Access your course through the Dashboard 
  • Use the Canvas mobile app for on the go access

  • "Attend" your online course regularly
  • Check-in daily
  • Allot enough time
  • Use a calendar

  • Submit your assignments on time
  • Know how to find feedback
  • Double check your submission and plan for the worst
