The Fundamentals Exam will consist of a mix of multiple choice, short answer and long-answer essay questions as well as application questions concerning a case. The exam will test students’ ability to demonstrate:  a) their understanding of key frameworks, perspectives, concepts, ideas and tools introduced in the course; b) their ability to relate these frameworks, perspectives, concepts, ideas, and tools to one another; and c) their ability to creatively apply these frameworks, perspectives, concepts, ideas, and tools in differing contexts.  The exam will cover material from the following course lectures:  Foundations of the U.S. Legal System (chapter 1); Tort Liability and Air Commerce (chapter 4); Commercial Law Applications to Aviation-Related Transactions (chapter 6); Employment Law and the Aviation Industry (Chapter 9) and Intellectual Property Law as covered in the Week 3 class lecture.  The exam will be take-home and open-book.

This is your final exam.  You will have until  8:00 AM on Monday, October 4 to complete the exam.    It is open book, open notes.   The exam will cover materials that we covered in Week 1 thru Week 5 of the course.

The exam should take 2 to 3 hours to complete.  You will have 3 hours from the time that you start the exam to complete it.

Most of the exam is mulitple choice.  Some questions are labeled "essay", but I'm just looking for a short answer to the question posed.  Some questions have multiple parts.  Ensure that you answer each part of the question for full credit.

This exam covers a lot of material.  Stay focused, do the best you can.  The exam will be graded on a curve.  Relax.  You will do fine.
