I go over why we do research in Geography and the different questions we typically ask ourselves surrounding spatial and temporal patterns. You have already learned how to set up a hypothesis in the Quantitative Methods class. Setting up a hypothesis and testing it is a very common research question in Quantitative research. It is also possible to do Qualitative Research in GIS, although it is a lot less common.
