About the Final Exam
This is an individual assignment. Please read the instructions and the questions carefully before answering them.
Objectives
Throughout the semester you have been introduced to various topics related to lean construction ranging from its evolution to specific tools/techniques. You have worked on multiple homework assignments, participated in live discussions, posted on online discussion boards to reinforce your understanding about the topics. The final exam is a comprehensive assessment of your understanding of the evolution of lean and its functions in improving the current processes of the AEC industry.
Directions
The final exam is timed for 3 hours, which should be adequate to complete all the questions. There is no fixed start time for the exam. However, once you start you cannot pause the exam.
Assessment
The distribution of points will be as follows:
- Thoughtfulness and critical thinking (20%)
- Analysis of the facts and application of lean principles/tools (20%)
- Organization and length of the essays (5%)
- Grammar and clarity of written communication (5%)
Academic Integrity
- Copying or reusing previous work is not permitted.
- This is an individual assignment, so collaboration is not permitted.
- Open-book research for the assignment is permitted and encouraged.
