Description

This course uses case-based learning to guide students through each module. After reviewing the resources, students present their ideas on how to solve the problem presented in the case via a discussion board post. After attending or watching the Live Session, students use the additional information gained to critique or add to each other's ideas. This encourages students to share different ways to apply the concepts presented, and it also serves as a way for the instructor to assess student learning throughout the module.

This course also uses weekly module introduction videos to introduce and contextualize problems that are faced in the industry around the module's topic. This engages students in the topic at hand and enhances the instructor's presence in the course.

At the end of the course, students are asked to bring their new contextual understanding into the future through a research paper. Throughout the course, students have learned about the history of the industry as well as different aspects and issues within the current landscape. They are challenged to think about their future within the industry and how they will use their new knowledge to innovate, further their career, and improve the industry.
