Lesson 6: Darwin's Descent of Man

In this lesson we explore the most controversial aspect of Charles Darwin's work, his argument that human beings, like all other organisms, evolved from a lower, less complicated life form.  You will read an excerpt of Darwin's 1871 book, The Descent of Man, and watch a short (20 minute) video on Darwin's views of women as reflected in his personal correspondence.
