About This Exam

Overview

Your final exam will consist of two (2) parts:

  • Part I: Multiple-Choice and True/False Exam
  • Part II: Essay Questions

Each part will be worth 100 points for a total of 200 points. You must complete both parts!

Part I: Exam (100 points)

This is Part I of your final exam. It is a 50-question, multiple-choice and true/false exam that goes over the material in the text. You can use your text as a resource, but you may not use each other. Though it is open book, you will not have time to look up each answer. Being familiar with the material before starting the exam is crucial to being successful.

The goal of this portion of the final is to allow you to practice taking a timed, multiple-choice exam, so you will be prepared to take the National Counseling Examination (NCE). The NCE is an extensive, timed test, which you will take once you have completed your coursework and are admitted to be under supervision.

  • Time Limit: You will have 1 hour and 50 minutes to complete this 50-question exam
  • Exam Format: Multiple-choice and True/False
  • Number of Attempts: 1
  • Course Content Tested: You will have randomly selected questions from each chapter of your text.
    • Note: You will not be tested on the supplemental material for this portion of your final.
