Please come prepared to our first Live Session. Before we meet, please explore topics for your project and prepare arguments to persuade your team to work on the topic of your interest. All teams will be working on the utilization of CO2. For example, CO2-to-cement, CO2-to-methane, CO2-to-methanol, etc.

These are the planned activities for the Live Session:

  • Meet & greet – student introductions
  • Discussion Board Q&A
  • Demonstration of how to annotate with Perusall
  • Students assigned to projects groups (breakout session) to select project topic “CO2 to Product”

Attendance

There are two ways in which you can earn points for the Live Session. Remember, these Live Sessions will count toward your participation grade.

  1. Participate Live: This option should be your preferred choice. When possible, you should attend and participate in the Live Sessions in real-time. To get credit for your attendance, type in the date and time of the session you attended by clicking on the red "Submit Assignment" button at the top of this page. Your self-reported attendance log can be cross-checked against the attendance tracker in Zoom.
  2. Make-Up (Watch Recording-Submit Written Summary): In the event that your work or personal schedule makes it impossible for you to attend, please review the recording of the Live Session then write a paragraph summarizing the Live Session from your perspective. Click on the "Submit Assignment" button to type (or copy/paste) your paragraph into the text field. Don't worry if the system indicates your submission is late. You will have until the next Live Session to submit your paragraph summary.

Note: Be sure to utilize option 1 or 2 for each of the Live Sessions to receive full points. Regardless of when the session occurred, you must post your response based on option 1 or 2.
