About This Exam

Overview

Your final exam will consist of 32 multiple-choice questions, worth 3 points each, and 1 essay question, worth 4 points, for a total of 100 points.

The questions will cover content from lectures and Chapters 1-18 in your textbook. You can use your text as a resource, but you may not take this exam with a peer. Although it is an open-book exam, you will not have time to look up each answer. Being familiar with the material before starting the exam is imperative for your success. The goal of this exam is to test your knowledge, understanding, and application of basic counseling skills. Your mastery of these test items will also prepare you for success in answering counseling skills questions on the CPCE and NCE examinations.

• Exam Format: Multiple-choice and essay
• Number of Attempts: 1
• Course Content Tested: 2-3 questions were randomly selected from Chapters 1-18 of your text.

• Copying or reusing previous work is not permitted.
• Open-book research for the exam is permitted and encouraged.
