We will also cover why PHREEQC was developed and which sectors commonly use the model for their aqueous geochemical modeling needs. Furthermore, we discuss advantages and disadvantages of PHREEQC and how the model compares to MINTEQ. Another important aspect is that we will go over the layout of the PHREEQC user interphase and where data input blocks are located. The last part of the lecture will go over how to input data into PHREEQC and run a simple equilibrium model and some discussion of model results.
