This homework assignment will allow you to test your skills and abilities in retrieving data from MongoDB. Please review the in-class practice before you attempt this assignment.

Objectives

This assignment will guide your learning process to ensure you can work with MongoDB on the following items:

  • Utilize comparison operators and the LIMIT function
  • Aggregation
  • Query date columns, arrays, geographic data
  • Practice CRUD functions

(CLO) stands for Course Learning Objective. (MLO) stands for Module Learning Objective. You will find a complete list of Course Learning Objectives in the Syllabus and on the Start Here: Course Overview page. Module Objectives are listed on the Module Introduction pages. Each Assignment Objective and Module Objective in this course has its associated course-level objective indicated in parentheses to clarify the relationship between the two.

Directions

MongoDB -  write queries in MongoDB

    1. Please paste your code and upload the screenshot of your output for each exercise using MongoDB Compass. Make sure screenshots are uploaded fully, as it takes a few seconds for them to appear in each question submission. Failure to submit screenshots will result in a points deduction.
    2. Please expand any array or object fields that are shown in the output. This is only important when we are working with either an object or array in a question.
    3. If the task is asking to alter or remove a field, please indicate such a change in your screenshot. You can either highlight or color/outline the change or submit both before and after screenshots with changed or removed fields shown.
