EXTRA CREDIT: N.I. Requirement Scenarios

About this Assignment

After reviewing the resource materials for the week (Weeks 9 and 10), try your hand at the following scenarios.  Links to pertinent parts of the UCC are included in each question, so cites to those statutes (simply quote the statute - no formal cite needed since I gave you the links) should be included in each answer.

Objectives

This exercise will help you do the following:

• Describe the requirements for an instrument to be negotiable
• Identify when a negotiable instrument has been properly negotiated such that it can be sold or assigned to others

Assessment

This exercise is OPTIONAL. It will count as Extra Credit points. Please note that because grades are weighted, extra credit points cannot be assigned a weight until all other grades are in.

As mentioned above, links to pertinent parts of the UCC are included in each question, so cites to those statutes (simply quote the statute - no formal cite needed since I gave you the links) should be included in each answer. Failure to include quoted statute sections (and only the relevant part of the statute is needed - do not simply cut and paste the entire statute, as that will not count) will result in half credit.
