Mike Beckham, co-founder and CEO, started Simple Modern in 2015, first selling water bottles in March 2016.
In the last eight years, growth has been significant: Last year, the company saw revenue of almost $200 million.
Simple Modern is now the largest supplier of hydration products to Amazon and Target.
Simple Modern exists to give generously – and has earmarked more than $6 million to be given to charity since the company began, committing to giving at least 10 percent of all profits to nonprofit causes.
In 2024, Simple Modern will partner with more than 30 nonprofit partners. In addition, employees directed 12% of the company’s giving to partner with another 50 other nonprofits.
Simple Modern’s Giving Focus: Simple Modern focuses on five key areas of giving: nonprofits focused on providing clean drinking water, furthering education, supporting marginalized communities, stopping human trafficking and addressing homelessness.
The majority of Simple Modern’s giving stays in the company’s headquartered state: Oklahoma. Broken down, 87% of Simple Modern’s giving is local, with 7.2% considered national and 5.8% international giving. In addition, we partner with some of OKC's biggest community contributors: The Oklahoma City Thunder, the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, and The Oklahoma City Zoo, among others.
Manufacturing in Oklahoma City: Simple Modern opened a 175,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Oklahoma City in July 2022, committing to bringing manufacturing to Oklahoma.
Simple Modern is launching its newest hydration product line this April – the Simple Modern Signature Line. This line is leakproof, easier to handle, has internal ceramic coating, and a silicone base for added stability. This easily makes the Signature line Simple Modern’s – and the industry’s – best hydration product ever.
