How to Add YouTube Videos Your Blog

When you are add videos to your blog, it's best to upload your video to an external host like YouTube or Vimeo and then embed your videos into a blog post. I don't recommend uploading your video directly to your blog as it takes up too much disk space. Also note: Do NOT list your video as "private" on YouTube or only you can view it. You can list it as either "Public" or "Unlisted." Here are directions for uploading your videos to YouTube and then adding them to your blog:

1. Sign in to YouTube and click the Upload button in the upper right hand corner and then click "upload."

2. Select the video you wish to upload from your computer.

3. Once you have finished recording, click Publish (Again, it either has to be published as PUBLIC or UNLISTED. You cannot publish it as private or only you will have access to watching it!)

4. Click the arrow button to go back to your "Video Manager."

5. Click "Edit" on your latest video. 

8. Copy the link to your video to your clipboard.

6. Paste that link into a new blog post. Wordpress automatically recognizes it is a YouTube video and will populate your post with an embedded video player.
