Take a Quiz

The "Quizzes" menu item is where you will go to take quizzes and tests in your course. You can also view quizzes from the modules and assignments page. Each quiz will be slightly different depending on how your instructor set up the quiz. Checking the top column is a good place to start. Directly below the title you will see the amount of points the quiz is worth, the due date, the number of allowed attempts, and the time limit. If you do not see a number of allowed attempts then you can only take the quiz once.

Clicking the "Take Quiz" button will start the quiz and timer for your allotted time. The far right column will display your time remaining on a timed quiz, and elasped time for a untimed quiz. If the instructor set up the quiz to allow question skipping, you will be able to navigate questions in this column as well. 

Question types include multiple choice, true and false, short answer, essay and more. For more information on question types, click here. How quickly your results appear will depend on how your instructor set up your quiz. After completing a quiz, revisiting the quiz's page will allow you to retake the quiz if multiple attempts are allowed.
