Twitter Tool v. Twitter Widget

You can go to Settings-Apps and install a Canvas Twitter Tool (just search for Twitter in the Apps search). This Canvas Twitter tool allows you to add Twitter content directly using the Rich Text Editor. When you click on the Twitter Tool in the editor, it will let you configure a hashtag or a username, along with the number of tweets, and it then embeds the results in your page:

The problem is that this Twitter Tool does not embed any media. To compare, here's the Twitter Tool on the left, and the real Twitter widget I made for Instructure on the right (Step 1 - Step 2 - Step 3): what a difference! For images and media, you need to use real Twitter widgets:
