Instructions
The quiz below provides an example of how prerequisites and requirements work in Modules. The quiz tests knowledge a student has gained up until this point in the course. In order to unlock additional course content, the student must score at least a 10 on the quiz.
Quick Knowledge Test (Quiz)
This quiz must be completed to gain access to the Extra Module. It has 4 questions about Canvas and about information which is located in this Canvas Course.
You must score at least a 10 for the module to open.

HOW TO SET UP A PREREQUISITE QUIZ
In order to set up a scenario like the one above here are the steps:
- Go to the module that has the quiz the students need to take… we’ll call this “MODULE 1” (it should be placed before the other module that will open once the quiz is taken…we’ll call this “MODULE 2”)
- Click the three dots to the right of the MODULE 1 title and then <Edit>
- In the Edit slide out window click <+Requirement> and then select <Complete one>
- From the dropdown menu under “Content” select your quiz and then select <Score at Least> and put in a number for the score they must have for MODULE 2 to open.
- Click <Save>
- It will now say “Complete One Item” in the title bar of MODULE 1
- Go to MODULE 2
- Click the three dots to the right of the MODULE 2 title and then <Edit>
- In the Edit slide out window click <+Prerequisite> and then select “MODULE 1”
- Click <Save>
- It will now say Prerequisite: MODULE 1 in the title bar of MODULE 2
