Knickman, JR & Elbel, B (2019). Jonas and Kovner’s Health Care Delivery in the United States 12th Edition. New York: Springer Publishing Company. Be sure to get the 12th edition as it contains many changes related to the Affordable Care Act.
The text is available through the OU Bookstore and online. It is also available in an electronic format. Reading assignments for each week of class are posted in Canvas.
Course Description
This course introduces students to the fundamental characteristics of the United States health delivery system, public health system and health policy. The course includes four primary areas: Health Policy, Keeping Americans Healthy, Medical Care, and the Future of US Health Care.
