Midterm Exam

This exam is intended to take about two hours to complete.  There is no limit to the amount of time you may use to answer the questions as long as you submit the exam by October 24^th.  Question 4 involves using the PrecisionTree software.  Depending on how well you familiarized yourself with the software this question may have different time requirements, so it is recommended you start this problem early in the week.

 You need to submit your answers before the exam window closes at midnight Central time on October 24^th.

This exam is worth 25 points.

You will answer the questions using the answer sheet.  When finished you should upload the answer sheet file and the Eagle Oil Excel file.  More details are below for that file.  You do not need to answer anything directly in the Canvas interface.  You can always reopen the exam in Canvas if you wish to download the files again or to change anything you uploaded previously. 

If you upload a file but are not ready to submit your exam you do not have to click a button to save your work.  If you stop and come back later, you should see a “Resume Quiz” button to start again.

DO NOT CLICK SUBMIT UNTIL YOU ARE COMPLETELY DONE AND READY TO SUBMIT YOUR ANSWERS.

Once you click submit, you cannot change your answers.

You may use any resources to answer this exam except you are not permitted to discuss the exam with anyone except your instructor.  You are free to ask your instructor clarifying questions about anything that is unclear.

This exam covers through lecture 20 and chapter 7 in the book.

Point allocation:

Question 6 asks how much time you spent on the exam.  It does not test course knowledge but helps your instructor calibrate exams.  Please keep track of how much time you spent on this exam.

The point allocation totals to 100 for simplicity.  Your score will be divided by four to get a maximum possible score of 25 as the midterm determines 25% of your overall course grade.

The first file has the midterm exam questions.  The grading rubric is the second download. If you have questions about how to answer anything the rubric may help.  The third is the answer sheet that you should fill out.  Please rename it with your last name and "Midterm Answers."  The fourth file is needed to answer question 4.

When you are finished with the exam, upload your answer sheet and the updated Eagle Oil file.

Do not click submit until you are completely finished.  Once you click submit, you cannot change your answers.
