Course Description

This course explores the role of studying abroad in a service-learning context across various special topics. For example, students experience working in post-crisis environments alongside diverse communities.

Course Prerequisites

Senior standing or permission of instructor.

Course Materials

  • Materials are provided by the instructor, except for computers or other digital devices needed to complete the course.

Course Components

 Pre-Orientation Videos

Students will review two pre-orientation videos relative to the service-learning project provided by the International Program Development Office for Student Athletes. A 250-word response is required. 

Participation 

Each day, we will meet for our service-learning departures where the end goal is to help support a community in crisis.  Attendance/participation is required and will be graded.

Will you participate in the service-learning? If not, then I need to be contacted (or Josh Norman) in real time in the event additional support is needed.
