About This EC Assignment

 Objectives

To receive up to 7 extra credit points, you are required to write a reflection MEMO on the topics covered during Week 7.  The extra credit points you earn will be added to your MITTELCO regression lab score(s).  Please note that these reflections will be graded by a LLM platform as part of a test of A.I. tools for educational purposes.

The topic areas/resources to focus on are as follows:

  1. Lecture Videos on Cyber & Network Security
  2. Videos presented in the Extra Resources

The reflection should expand upon areas that resonate with your career or personal interests, making the exercise directly relevant to your professional development. By identifying these areas, the reflection not only serves as an academic exercise but also as a bridge to your personal real-world application.

Directions

When providing your reflection, please address the following questions:

  • Summary: The reflection begins with a comprehensive summary of the lecture content, encapsulating the primary topics and discussions within two detailed paragraphs, each at least ten lines long. This exercise demands attention to detail and the ability to discern key points, ensuring that you have a solid grasp of the subject matter. Summarize the lecture in 2 paragraphs (10 lines a minimum each). Make sure to provide as many details as possible.

  • Topics of Interest: Following the summary, you will identify two specific topics that captured your interest or that you recognize as immediately applicable to your professional setting. This section is not merely descriptive but also reflective, as it requires you to personalize the information and envision practical implementations. List and describe two topics that were the most interesting to you/can be utilized at your work immediately.

  • Inquisitive Closure: Conclude your reflection with a question that arose during the lecture. This promotes a growth mindset, highlighting areas for further exploration and understanding that learning is an ongoing process. Specifically, we ask you to focus on one question that you still have about the covered material in this lecture

Guidelines

Assessment

This Reflection assignment will be evaluated on completeness. Each question will be evaluated as follows:

  1. Summarize the lectures in 2 paragraphs  (10 lines minimum each). Make sure to provide as many details as possible.
  2. List and describe two topics that were the most interesting to you/can be utilized at your work immediately.
  3. What is the one question that you still have about the material covered in this lecture?

We encourage you to think critically about the lecture and the topics discussed. There is always something new to learn or an aspect that can be explored further. If you are having difficulty coming up with a question, consider aspects of the lecture that intrigued you, areas you found challenging, or topics you wish to understand more deeply.

Remember, there is no such thing as a bad question. Every question is a stepping stone towards greater understanding and knowledge.
