Exam 1
-
- Use only the formula sheet and probability tables provided, your calculator and your pencil/pen on this exam. You may NOT access any additional note pages beyond those indicated by the instructor.
- You must show your work on scratch sheets of paper to be considered for partial credit in the event your answer is incorrect. Please be sure your handwriting is legible and organized (i.e. number the work with the associated question identifier). I really do want to give you partial credit where I can.
- Once you complete the exam, if you have access to a printer with scanners, simply scan both sides of all the pages you used for the exam and email the PDFs to me. For those who don't have access to a scanner, use one of the smartphone apps mentioned in the announcement this week, which will allow you to take pictures with your phone and convert those pictures to PDF. Then email those PDFs to me.
- Use calculated quantities that are provided, if you need them. DO NOT recalculate them. They were provided to help you out and save you time on the exam.
- Round all answers to 4 decimal places unless otherwise directed.

My contact information is below. You should jot it down on your scratch paper in case you experience issues accessing the exam or have questions. However, if you get disconnected, try to reconnect to the exam once before contacting the instructor. In my experience, reconnecting is generally not an issue. Know that if you are asking a question touching too closely on your understanding of the subject matter during the exam, it is possible that I will not answer it.
