Step 6: Get Help

STEP 6: GET HELP

There are several ways to get help when you need it. Check-out the options below to be ready when the time comes!


► COURSE QUESTION

(Assignment, Course Content, etc.)

If you have a question about a course assignment or the content in your course you can always ask your instructor. Before doing so, make sure you've done the following:

  1. Review the course syllabus and/or assignment instructions thoroughly
  2. See if there are any "Get Help" or "Ask a Question" discussion boards where you can post your question (and see if anyone else has)
  3. Check the course Announcements and other communications

If you still can't locate your answer, review the syllabus for the instructor's preferred mode of communication and use that to contact them.

KEY CONCEPT

Don't save questions about an assignment until the last minute or it may be too late! You cannot expect to get an answer immediately...Plan ahead!

 


► HELP WITH CANVAS

If you have questions about Canvas or issues with Canvas help is available 24/7. By clicking the “Help” button in Canvas, you can:

  • Report a problem
  • Search the Canvas Guides

► OU IT HELP

OU IT offers many avenues for help (see the links below). Also keep an eye out for messages they send via Canvas. These will appear on your Dashboard screen at the top of the screen.
